Light My Fire

Episode: #24

Namesake: The Doors song

The Knight Sabers flee the tower as it begins to lift off. They retreat to Nigel’s; all of them, especially Sylia, are worried about Macky.

Nene hacks into an American NSA satellite and uses the cameras on-board to watch Galatea. They believe that she plans to use the Umbrella to transmit the boomer phenomena around the world. As they are watching, they learn that the US government has targeted nuclear missiles at Galatea. However, Galatea absorbs them, and they have no effect.

Linna and Nene later interrupt a private moment between Priss and Leon to tell them their plan. They want to use the SkyHook to help them to beat Galatea up to the Umbrella. Sylia stays behind with Macky while the three girls go to the SkyHook loading platform.

Priss and Leon ride the moto-slave while Linna and Nene drive the mobile pit. Priss finally tells Leon why she hated the AD Police — they destroyed a disc that contained her favorite song. Leon then asks Priss to sing it for him.

Once they reach the loading platform, they learn that the boomer phenomena has affected the pallet line — there are no crates on the dock to use to get picked up by the SkyHook. All three then climb aboard the moto-slave and fire their jump thrusters simultaneously to give them enough lift. They make it, but the moto-slave takes a beating.

The SkyHook appears to be unaffected by the boomer phenomena, and the boomer on-board is surly. Nene makes some programming adjustments to it and uses it to tap into the NSA satellites to keep an eye on Galatea. It is now a waiting game, and Priss is in the cargo hold talking to her moto-slave — she has begun to become more understanding and sympathetic of boomers.
