Leon, Daley, and Nene are trying to alert the city to the reason for the rogue boomer outbreak. However, Genom keeps blocking the signals. Rogue boomers roam the streets, and Leon urges people to either evacuate or find shelter. Rosenkreutz’s life-support machines were assimilated, and Mason is killing anyone inside of Genom tower that gets in his way.

The current boomers are mere shells for a conscious form, and rogue boomers are the newly awakened conscience. The boomer core was designed to limit intelligence and self-awareness, essentially trapping boomers into a single form. The boomers who went rogue were able to free themselves from their man-imposed limits.

Priss’s band-mates are concerned for her safety, hoping that she evacuated the city. Linna’s parents are even more worried.

Daley asks Nene what the Knight Sabers plan to do now, but they get a signal from other AD Police before she can answer. They want to group up to try to stop the spread of the rogue boomer phenomena. All of the available officers then go to police sub-stations to get weapons and equipment.

Priss is visiting with Sylia, and they talk about new hardsuits and the boomers. Priss wants reassurances that the suits won’t go rogue, but Galatea begins to attempt to make contact with Sylia again.

Mason is with Galatea, asking what it is that she intends to do. She is puzzled by Mason; his freeing her could be detrimental to his well-being. Mason wants to transcend his human self.

Priss has gone down to the pit to see what Nigel and Macky have been doing. Linna is trying out her new hardsuit and is showing it off. Priss is impressed, but does notice some ‘visual quirks.’ Linna then scolds Macky for not informing her of them.

Nene then radios for help while Leon and Daley prepare to do something stupid. They are waiting for the boomer to put them within range to fire on the core. They think that they have succeeded in destroying the boomer — until it begins to reform.
