The Knight Sabers are holding a team meeting at Sylia’s when they become aware of the rogue boomer tearing up a factory. An innocent civilian has already been killed. The AD Police ground forces are already on the scene and are preparing to engage the boomer.
Rosenkreutz and Mason are discussing Mason’s decision to call in the AD Police, and the status of their plan to make boomers go rogue on command. Mason explains their method of swapping the cores, and his intent to capture the Knight Sabers.
The Knight Sabers arrive just as the AD Police engage the boomer. Nene moves to disable the AD Police communications lines while Priss and Linna go after the boomer.
Rosenkreutz would like to know why the Knight Sabers hate his boomers when they should be loving them. Genom boomers rebuilt parts of the city after the earthquake, and it is because of this that Rosenkreutz feels they should be respectful of it. Mason claims to no hate the boomers, but it is only lip service to Rosenkreutz in order to satisfy his own private agenda.
Sylia moves to the mobile pit, looking for a pattern. As she is making her way to the scene, Priss and Linna are waiting for permission to engage the boomer. They can’t go in until Nene has completed cutting the power flow to the boomer.
Leon and Daley have learned that the big AD Police offensive is only a PR stunt, but they don’t yet know why. They move to observe the operation, the boomer tearing its way through the AD Police. The ground forces deploy their K-suits, only to have the boomer begin to assimilate one of them.
Nene succeeds in finally cutting the power to the boomer, and Priss and Linna engage the weakened monster. Nene then joins them. Linna is clumsy, but determined, and moves in to attack the boomer’s core.
Sylia remembers back to her childhood and her mother’s disgust with her father’s work. She is also outraged by how he is more involved in his work than his family. Sylia then remembers the promise that she made to her father after her mother’s death.
Time is growing short, and all three girls move in to engage, and Linna succeeds in crushing the core. Linna is still getting the hang of her suit and is knocked off balance when the AD Police force targets them.
