Everyone is confused, and Sylia recalls the team for their safety. However, Nene ignores the order and is saved when the AD Police task force arrives and shines a spotlight on the creature. It drops Nene and returns to the tunnel from whence it came.

Mason is intrigued by this new turn of events, and orders that the event is covered up by a construction accident. Sylia becomes melancholy and preoccupied.

Leon is angry that the ADP has been forbidden from investigating, and becomes even more so when it seems that Daley is kissing up to the Brass. He only calms down after Daley reveals his plans to go and investigate for themselves.

Leon and Daley then seek Nene out for a favor. Nene is in a sour mood and is feeling sorry for herself. She takes it out on Leon, Daley does nothing to discourage her.

Mason comes to make a personal inspection of the ‘construction’ site. He wishes to learn more about the creature. He also makes it clear that Rosenkreutz is not to learn of his actions.

Priss has gone to the Silky Doll to speak to Sylia and is pretending to be interested in clothes. Sylia’s mind is still on the monster but agrees to speak with her. Priss wants Sylia to let Nene go, saying that she does not want to be held responsible if someone should get hurt. Sylia and Priss then make a bet.

Nene is talking with Macky, and she’s telling him of her doubts about her abilities and contributions tot he team. Macky is trying his best to cheer her up. It is then that Nene learns why Leon and Daley asked her for a favor.

Leon and Daley use the map they got from Nene to guide them through the tunnels. As they are making their way, they discover that Genom is there and sacrificing boomers in an attempt to capture the monster. The two ADP detectives follow along behind to observe. Leon and Daley find a pre-quake lab and what remains of the Genom force before being attacked by the monster.

The Knight Sabers then arrive, Priss and Linna engage the monster while Nene goes to access the lab’s database. It is then that Sylia realized that the hardsuits will be useless against the monster and has Macky get her suit ready so she can go after them.

Leon and Daley can only watch helplessly as the monster drains the batteries of Priss and Linna’s hardsuits in preparations for eating them. Sylia arrives and tries to save her teammates, only to have the same happen to her own hardsuit.

Sylia is hallucinating that she is back in childhood and is lying on a beach, a large wave about to overtake her. She comes back to reality as Nene arrives, shooting the monster in its weak spot with her rail-gun.

Mason knows that he is getting closer to finding what he has been looking for. For losing the bet, Priss has to dress up and pose for pictures.
