Episode #03: “Blow Up”
Mason is listening to a report of a rogue combat boomer currently engaged with the AD Police. There are casualties, as usual. The K-11’s are then deployed to deal with it.
The club manager tells Priss that she is fired for missing yet another concert, but she has to go — the boomer is getting too close to Sylia’s. As Priss rushes to make it there in time, she gets Nene into trouble for letting her speed through the checkpoint. However, Priss finds herself almost caught up in the battle with the boomer without her hardsuit. After the boomer is dispatched, she asks Leon to invalidate her speeding ticket to no avail.
Priss arrives at the lingerie shop while Macky is cleaning up after the boomer incident. He then takes her out to the shop to see the new bike that he is currently working on.
On her way home, Priss meets up with a neighbor boy named Sho, who waiting for his mother to come home from work. Priss stays with him until she does, giving him her burger.
Sylia is relaxing in her private room, watching the news. At Linna’s house, she and Priss are discussing Sylia and her reasons for not going after Genom directly. Priss is giving Linna some attitude for being to do Linna’s chores in exchange for dinner.
There is a Genom Board meeting in progress, and they are discussing district development. They then agree to a hostile takeover of District 3 to serve their own needs.
Sho’s mother works hard to provide for her and her son. At his birthday dinner, she and Priss discuss her dream of one day moving out of the city and into the country.
Mason is attempting to make psychic contact with Sylia. His motives are surely sinister.
Priss’ neighbors are being forcibly removed from their homes, and Priss rushes to confront Mason directly. However, his bodyguard begins to take things too far, and Leon has to work to keep the exchange civil. Mason goes to leave then, signaling for the demolition to begin. Sho attempts to run back in, and when Priss goes to stop him, his mother goes in after the money that she had been saving. Sho is then orphaned when the building collapses on top of her.
Priss makes up her mind avenge her, and when she goes to suit up, the others will only allow her to do so if they go along with her, in order to “preserve the organization”.
Priss and Linna engage the combat boomers at Genom tower, the AD Police keeping an eye on their fight until one of the observation helicopters is shot down. Leon and his squad then move out.
Mason, wearing a power suit of his own, awaits at the top of the tower for Sylia. Nene holds off the boomer bodyguard that is with him as Sylia engages Mason. Linna and Priss take on their own opponents. Mason then unmasks Sylia, just before she kills him.
The AD Police then arrive in time to clean up the mess. Leon is happy to see that the Knight Sabers have completed their task.
When all is said and done, Priss escorts Sho to an orphanage.
