A man named Bill, a worker at an underwater mining facility, is at the controls guiding a High-Pressure boomer through the water via remote control. He is thinking back to an argument he had with his wife and the moment after when he realized that she hadn’t been alone in the house. The boomer then awakens and heads to the surface, later beginning to roam through the city.
Nene is testing out her newly repaired and modified hardsuit and is pleased with the results. Sylia displeased with the fact that Macky helped to do the work. However, Macky is beginning to experience doubts about coming to Tokyo despite Henderson’s reassurances.
Macky then goes to Nigel’s garage, where the man is working on the moto-slave. Macky is impressed with the man’s skill. Meanwhile, Sylia is meeting with her informant from Genom and learns of their plans for Deep Sea moto-units.
Bill’s wife is at home drinking, her lover already drunk. She is worried about Bill and doesn’t notice the boomer outside her window. The police and Genom are both already aware of the boomer and Mason is instructed to allow the Knight Sabers, who are already assembling, to handle it.
The ADP has begun its investigation, coming to question the wife about her husband’s whereabouts as that the boomer requires a human operator. Daley and Leon think that Genom is keeping something from learning later that the boomer has no operator because the facility was destroyed.
The Knight Sabers are on their way to the boomer’s location. Linna has to stay behind in the mobile pit with Sylia while Priss and Nene go to take care of the boomer. Priss concerned about upgrades to her suit, the suit’s movements feeling not quite right.
Macky knows that the suit has not been finished yet, and rushes over to tell Nigel. When he arrives, he finds Nigel drunk and of no help — Macky is on his own to contact Sylia about the suit.
The boomer is beginning to mutate as Nene charges in ahead of Priss, who is unimpressed with her antics and has to come to her rescue. As Priss is fighting the boomer, her suit begins to fail, leaving Nene as the only one available to save her. Sylia patches Macky through to Priss and is able to perform a temporary workaround despite the questionable method of doing so.
As Priss is moving in for the final blow, Leon and Daley have to stop Bill’s wife from trying to interfere. After Priss destroys the boomer and leaves, Leon and Daley are forced to tell the wife that her husband is dead, but that he had been planning a romantic getaway for the two of them as a surprise. The woman is devastated.
