While Priss and Leon try to access the building from a street entrance, several officers head into the sewer to get in that way. Daley stays on the street to coordinate the scene.

Nene is scared, as that the boomers are trying to come after her again, only to learn that it is Roland in a K-Suit. Boomers still surround them, but Priss and Leon arrive. Nene is thrilled, and Priss seems relieved that the girl is alright. They both then go on ahead to try to secure a way out.

Boomers have sealed the hole in the outside of the building and attempt to assimilate Roland’s K-Suit as well. Priss and Nene rammed through boomers as they tried to reach the freight elevator, but crashed. Unable to save the moto-slave, they flee on foot and make it to the elevator, only to discover that their exit is blocked. The only way out now is to climb up the communications tower, the master power grid re-activating as they rise.

Nene realizes that the boomers are not chasing them, but that they are after the communications tower. If they take the communications tower, then the boomer phenomena would be transmitted all over the city. Roland then begins to develop a plan involving the liquid nitrogen cooling tanks. Meanwhile, most of the building was assimilated.

Sylia, Linna, and Macky had convinced Daley to take them up to the building’s roof in a fire-bee. He tries to land but is forced to pull back and hover above it, lest the fire-bee share the same fate as the building.

Roland and Yano work to purge the cooling tanks, the nitrogen freezing the entire tower. Priss, Nene, Leon, and the others are left unchanged.

Rosenkreutz is working to have Mason removed, the man a threat to his control. Instead, he is assassinated by the boomer he saw Mason destroy.
