Trapped in the computer room, they watch as the boomers try to break through the glass. The girls hurry to suit up as the boomers are almost through.

The room then floods once the boomers have weakened the glass enough. The girls then help the guys to reach the roof, fending off boomers as they go. The boomers don’t seem to be interested in them, fusing with the computer banks instead.

Once the eight of them have made it to the rooftop, they look over the city as the sun rises. They realize that the boomers have overrun the entire city, and the Dragon Line is bursting from the earth.

Mason is watching the destruction of the city, tears running down what remains of his face. Galatea has effectively erased all of the unpleasantness of his childhood, all of his sickness and weakness.

The girls are keeping a lookout from the top of the mobile pit as they travel across the city. They are heading to the beach at a nearby park, believing it to be safe.

Once they arrive, they are initially mistaken for boomers by a refugee hiding in the park, but the situation is resolved. The group is then welcomed to their camp, loaning the girls some clothes. Leon and Nigel help bring back food in exchange for their hospitality, and they have a lively night of food and drinking. It is still far from over regarding Galatea, however.

Linna has gotten drunk, while Priss and Leon have gone off to be alone. Nene brings Macky some food in the mobile pit, finding him under Galatea’s control and screams.
