Chapter One
On a flight landing at Japan’s Narita International Airport, a very ill man locks himself in the bathroom. He stares at himself in the mirror as the stages of his illness begin to set in. First is Euphoria, then chills, followed by hallucinations of machines surrounding him. The last stage of his illness is uncontrolled violence, which he directs at himself.
In Tokyo itself, a man stands on a rooftop, looking over a ruined part of town before jumping off. When he lands, it is actually a boomer that has torn out of his skin. It had been tracking another robot, one that had been taking samples of media about Tokyo and its inhabitants. The two then begin to battle.
Priss is riding her motorbike until she comes across a Genom construction sign and kicks it over. She then removes her helmet and smokes a cigarette while looking over the city. The robot had also made a file of the Knight Sabers containing video, audio, and written documents. The Genom boomer has defeated the robot and is in the process of trying to steal a memory module when a mass of machines erupts from the ground and attacks. The Genom unit takes the module and flees.
Sylia is in her storeroom, waiting while Mackie checks over a shipment of equipment. As she drinks her tea, a call comes over the police scanner for the AD Police regarding a rogue combat boomer heading into a populated area. She then goes to suit up.
Meanwhile, the ADP chopper is still following and reporting on the boomer when it turns and attacks the chopper. Nene is at the AD Police Dispatch office when Sylia calls her. Nene then makes up a line and leaves early. As Nene is leaving, ADP air support has chased the boomer to the top of a civilian train, only to be shot at.
The sick man is riding in a cab and looking out the window. He knows there is a boomer running amok just then.
Linna leaves her job at “Phitness Utopia” and waits for Mackie to pick her up with the truck. As she is getting in, Leon and Daley drive by on their way to the scene. The Boomer has since left the train.
In the back of the truck, the four women are in various stages of suiting up. The ADP choppers have since lost the boomer and are trying to tack it down. Just as they begin to get a fix on it, all communications become jammed as the Knight Sabers arrive.
The boomer turns to attack and is first shot by Priss and before being engaged by Linna, followed by Sylia. Priss quickly finished it off. They then leave their calling card before leaving, forcing the ADP to clean up after them. The ADP also take into evidence the memory module and plan to have the tech’s look into it.
